Shopware Store: SocialConnect: Easy login with Google and Amazon

Pricing and billing in the Shopware Store

At a glance

  • Registration and sign-in via a Google or Amazon account
  • Fewer form fields between cart and completed order
  • Authentication handled by the providers' own mechanisms
  • Interface in German and English

Features

Sign in with a Google account
Customers use an account they already open every day. No additional password for your store.
Sign in with an Amazon account
A familiar account in retail. For customers who already buy on Amazon, registration shrinks to a single confirmation.
Fewer drop-offs during registration
Every required field between cart and order costs conversions. Signing in with an existing provider replaces filling in the registration form.
Verified email address on the customer record
The address comes straight from the provider and is therefore already confirmed — useful for order confirmations and everything that follows.
Bilingual interface
All labels ship in German and English and follow the sales channel's language setting.

Frequently asked questions

Do customers still need to set a password?
No. Anyone signing in through Google or Amazon never creates a store password. Classic registration with email and password remains available alongside it.
Do I need Google and Amazon accounts as the merchant?
Yes, each provider requires its own application with credentials. Both provide these free of charge, and setup is a one-off task.
What happens if a customer already has a store account?
If the email address matches an existing customer account, the sign-in is linked to that account instead of creating a second record.
Do I need to cover this in my privacy policy?
Yes. Signing in transmits data to the respective provider. That belongs in your privacy policy, as with any third-party sign-in.
